Another aspect of selling vintage items is the fragility of some. I sell A LOT of glass items, lamp shades specifically. Some are quite large too! I pack them well and understand that no matter how well I think it's packed, things happen and there's a potential for breaking. I've not had this happen before and I'm truly thankful 🤞

The fact that I sell VINTAGE glass items adds another layer of nervousness. Not that all of my items are so rare you wouldn't be able to find them ever again but, it's certainly not mass produced anymore and in every store you go to. Have you ever received a fragile item that broke in shipping?

Another happy customer that, in turn, makes me happy. This copper shade looks even more beautiful than the pictures I showed for the listing! The hardware used matches perfectly and the clear shade it's resting on was just bumped up a notch in style. The look of it all has me swooning. First off, I don't think I've ever done a reel before. Did I do it right? I'm so bad at social media 🤦‍♀️ Really, I wanted to share that this swag lamp used to be in my store. It was purchased and I never thought I'd see it again. That is until the new owner shared it on Instagram. I was shocked when I realized what I was looking at and it was SO fun!

I imagine anyone who travels, especially for the thrill of it, or maybe moved happily around throughout the years, or someone who was unable to travel much, if at all, would appreciate this lot of 1950s road maps, guides, and tourist information.

The previous owner had accumulated most of it in the 1950s and attempted to record the things he thought most important. He worked for Caterpillar and did a lot of traveling.

I found this lot at an estate sale being put on by the family members and it can be an odd thing to go into a stranger's house, go through their things all the while wondering why no one in their family wants it. I'm not judging at all. There’s plenty of things I know I won't want from my parents. It's more of a curiosity that flows through my mind as I find things that I think are so cool.

I really could have taken hundreds of more pictures in order to “describe” it in more detail but, I ended taking enough to make about a 4 minute video. Link is in my bio
